Ambitious knight Guy and William, a key Crusader policy maker, unite to enact their plans for the Ibelin countship. Chatillon, released by King Amalric despite his past cruelty, reenters the scene. The central conflict is whether the Templars will follow Nureddin Zengi’s orders or Hugh’s dying wish.
